2001
Parade
Congratulations
Skaters!! Our entry in the El Segundo 2001 Holiday Parade on Sunday, December
9th won the Dave Jones award! The award is for best representation of
the theme of the Parade which was "Let Freedom Ring". Thank you so much
for capturing the spirit in our entry "Let's Roll!" The students, instructors,
and friends of California Skate School skated in honor of September 11th
victims. The parade entry was a reminder of Todd Beamer and his heroic
effort to divert hijackers. "Let's Roll!" were his last words to fellow
passengers before communications shut down.
Brian
Gallagher thrills the crowd as he attempts to jump over daring volunteers.

Jenn and Kathy are always ready to roll.
Skaters all wore red, white and blue along with flags on the back of their
helmets. The van was also decorated in patriotic
colors, snowflakes and inline skating snowpeople to wish everyone Peace
on Earth and Happy Holidays.
